What goes on behind closed doors.

This is something to think about the next time you are in the favorite no-tell-motel.

The picture above show the door to my motel room at a recent vacation.

It looks like a normal door but if you look close there is something odd about the door. Can you see what it is? Here is a closer view.

The close up of the peep hole

Can you see the problem yet?

You might have to know about such things---but the peep hole is installed backwards. Anyone that wanted to, could see in, but you could not see who was looking in. It only took me about a minute to make it right---and about 10 minutes to see how many other doors were installed wrong at the motel. Since this door was the only one that was backwards, I attributed it to a painter that knew more about painting than installing peep holes.

This is what it should look like from the outside. It allows the right people to see the right people.

A proper peep hole

Oh my goodness! I don't think I ever would have caught that but now I will never forget to look!

I see plenty of sliding glass doors put in backwards Charles Buell but never the peep hole fish eye lens.

OMG....that is a bit creepy. Nice of you to give the benefit of the doubt here. My crazy mind went right to someone doing it on purpose!  LOL

Okay I have to stop, get up and go look at my door.  I never use it, but creepy if it's backwards.

I have never been to a no-tell hotel, but wonder why you are at one?  ; >)

Did you tell the hotel about the all-tell door?

Charles - Boy this is something good to know. I think in your case it was just a mistake, but I could see where you might want to check hotels now just to make sure.
