My WORDLESS WEDNESDAY pictures and some selected POEMS & STORIES.

I've never heard one say anything either;)
Yuck ~ Now that photo is something! It does leave me wordless .. well almost.! Happy Wednesday!
I think it's wonderful that they come in all colors since they don't have much to say.
Thanks for the post today. I hate slugs, I have a stone wall that I often see them sunning themselves on.
Good picture by the way.

Charles - they love the smell of beer and will go to it and, sadly, drown. A very environmental way to get them out of the garden - unless you drink the beer first and then don't care. Good close up photo. Do you have a macro lens?
Charlie,
We take our northwest slugs for granted. Some people find them gross.
Erika, they moooove really quietly too
Joan, they do have a high yuck factor
Glen----they do come in a rainbow of colors
Patricia----watch out they are our state horse
valerie, maybe we could start a whole new think like the worm in tequila? My cheapo Fuji S700 goes from 5/8" to 10x zoom
Now I'm feeling kinda sluggish...
Charles,
Great shot of an unwelcme visitor in the garden...Thanks for sharing this with us. We wish you continued success. A
Wow, neat bright frill along the bottom. Quite a character.
Michael, I think they have the market cornered
A, they can do a lot of damage
Jim, that is what I found so interesting about this little guy
Charles, is he edible? Oops! Guess not. For a minute I thought it was a snail. Great photo!
When he hike out here on the west coast we see the big yellow banana slugs... someone always licks one! HAHA!
Leave the little slugger alone.
Who knows someday we might have a beer with him.
Enjoy the day
Looks like we're slugging it out together today - oh wait - we were talking about short sales.....lol
It is funny that we have both the ugly slug and all of the beautiful grey and black squirrels.
Nice picture - I have never wanted to photo them. But I did see a banana slug in Oregon that was pretty interesting looking!
I never knew they had ridges on their back sides. Of course, I never got THAT CLOSE to look -- Gee thanks Charlie!! HA HA HA
Pat as edible as any snail as far as I am concerned
Chris do they taste like banana?
Don, lots of people like to have beer with slugs
Anna, same difference
Steve---same thing except one has hair
Peggy, I have no control over what I photograph :)
Carla, anything that shrivels up in gets ridges :) When he is bookn' down the driveway the wrinkles go away and he is as smooth as a banana
I've got my 3 year old granddaughter looking over my shoulder & her comment is "Slugs are yucky" LOL
Nancy, tell her that if she can locate one big enough she can slide on and off real easy while riding.
I don't mind bugs and spiders. Only slugs and two specific squirrels.
My contribution to Wordless Wednesday
Don't have any slugs that look like that out here in CT. All of ours are yellow to orange.
Kate, great but don't you think 2.99 is a bit steep----or is that 2 for 99?

Well, over at Wal-Mart, they are offering Nutsy for .25 cents a pound to those who can't afford quality meat.
That's NUTS!
Very kindly,
Croakster
Croakster, if you would just sit still long enough I am sure one would crawl right on you.
kind of pretty up front with its slimey skirt.....
Courtney----gotta love frills :)
Bleeeeeek! Makes me think of that fat monster from the Star Wars movie.
