Charles - what a beautiful area. where is that? The snow capped mountains are very beautiful.
Charles, thank you for this incredible picture. Wow, I wish I was hiking there right now.
Ok....you convinced me! I'm outta here....where am I going again? Is that place for sale? Is it a short sale.
I've never been out that way. Looks gorgeous, Charles. I'd rather keep that snow at a distance this time of the year, though:)
Hey Charles, It looks quite steep from here. Is that you walking uphill?
Hey, Charles. It looks like a challenge that I would love to attempt. Thanks for sharing such a great photo. Jim
This picture was taken on the way to the top of Sahale Peak in the North Cascades. Click on the link for some really great pictures and information about this climb.
Sharon, thanks----see the link
Tony, this is one of the most beautiful hikes I have done in the North Cascades
Karen----you would likely have to talk to the federal government about buying this lot:)
Jason---you gotta get your butt out here.
Tad---I am taking the picture---very steep skree slope---just before we got roped up to go across the glacier and up to the top.
Charles, now that's what I call a view, just gorgeous.
~ Life is Good
Jim, it is pretty cool.
Those mountains are looking like they need to be climbed. Very nice pic, thanks for sharing!
Roy---it is spectacular
Hope---for sure.
Here is a picture of me on the very tippy-top:) (you can see it was a few years ago:)
Mr Charles,
Is that Sumas mountain.
Your bud,
Nutsy
that's such a good photo, I can actually picture myself falling, and sliding down that scree.... all the way into that freaking-freezing mountain lake... with a tiny little splush preceded by a lot of screaming and bleeding.
ahh, the joys of hiking.
Nutsy---stop being lazy and read the comments
Alan, have you ever seen those crazy videos of people skiing down these slopes?
Charles, very pretty indeed and the view is ... well worth the climb. Don't think I'm crazy enough to attempt skiing it though, getting to be a bit of a chicken in my old age.
WOW! What a beautiful area. Looks like a heck of a climb too..and that is definitely the very tippy top of the mountain looks like there is barely enough room for you to site there.
Charles I canoed and back packed in the Cascade range as a kid. Now that I am old/fat/arthritic it is enough to climb stairs and show homes. That is a fantastic picture and makes me wish I was young again.
Suesan----sking these is for those who don't have to go to work the next day:)
Jackie it is hard to get a perspective in the picture but it is about 1000 feet straight down just ahead of me.
Gene---it is a fact of life that every day that goes by there are things we can no longer do----we just have to focus on what we can do.
Looks like a scary place to hike to me!
but what a view!
Your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
Charles---gotta get that endorphin rush any way we can :)
Really Nice thank you for sharing WOW and you climbed to the tip top amazing I really like The picture.
Have a wonderful Wednesday,
Kim White
Thanks Kim, there are so many GREAT hikes in the NW.
Charles, what a beautiful photo! Wow!
Thanks Pat
Neat photo Charles-and what a view...

Holy cow. I'm late to the party again since I just found this. Normally heights don't do the dizzy thing on me but looking down the slope actually gave me a slip-sliding feel. kate ford
Thanks Michael,
Kate, wasn't "Slip Slidin Away" a song?
Yes, I'm a famous singer, you didn't know that? Related to Paul Simon. But I still contend there is no Kate Moss - only Kate Ford - the one and only kate ford
I can imagine no Moss grows on Kate Ford's Wheels:)
I think I detect a Henry joke.
