PS, for those of you that are new to my blog (or for some other "unexplained" reason have never noticed)
all pictures and smiley-face inserts (emoticons) (when I use them) have messages that show up when you point at them with your cursor.
DeCroe, is my "ethereal" home inspector assistant and occasionally flies into my blog and other people's blogs to offer assistance. To find out more about her beginnings just click on Raven.

WHOA!!! I do not envy your job. Geez, do you face things like this alot?
Well - My guess is it's a granddaddy long legs covered in dryer lint.
Kathy
Well there's something you just don't see every day!
Unless of course you're a home inspector or you like to spend your free time in crawl spaces!!!
I've seen more than my fair share of white fuzzy spiders.
Treva, just another day in a crawl space:)
Kathy, hard to tell just what kind of spider it is. Perhaps a new variety of "Snow Spider?"
Craig----all it takes is a really wet crawl space.
James, but yours are all probably alive!
looks like a spider, that died an ignominious death, being reclaimed by the world of spores.
Alan---you've got it----all part of nature's recyling plan.
Gross! That is some picture there and I agree...I don't want your job!
Nasty! I will show this picture to my wife, she hates spiders! I have never seen one like that.
Naoma---it is merely one of those "Lunch-having-lunch" type pictures:)
Brent, while not universal I do think it is true that a large percentage of women have issues to work out with with spiders:)
Charles - This is why I leave crawl spaces and attics to the professionals. I hate spiders.
Charles - I can always count on you to come up with the uncommon. How come I never come across cool spider pictures like that?
Well, It's different, I give you that! I won't even go into my own crawlspace!
Debi
Matt----even this dead one? Why are fuzzy white (hungry) polar bears "cute" but this dead spider is scary?:)
Suesan----I think conditions have to be just "right" for mold to form like this. I have never seen one either.
Debi----most people don't/won't:)
Charles, I can just see it, a new series of horror movies, "The Ghost Spiders". That is a cool looking photo.
~ Life is Good
Just a little scary! Did you catch him?
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
Thanks Roy----it does look like something out of George Lucas.
Charles---there were several that looked like this----all quite dead:)
Personally,
I have no fear of spiders. I do not like owls, hawks and eagles.
Your friend Nutsy
What about barbeques?
Okay Charles you got me... something furry that DOES NOT look like something I want to pet or see or be near. But it really is a super great photograph.
But Tammy, it LOOKS so cute and cuddly doesn't it?
I'm thankful I don't have a crawlspace! That was creepy! I moved the Midnight Cereus out on the deck to catch some nice rain today. I covered the pot so it won't get too much. That plant just loves attention.
Let's see, how do you report that one. Moldy spider, spidery mold, 8 legged fungal, Arachnid Fungi.
Lizette, I am hoping that mine blooms this year.
Jack, how about Arachnold:)
I'm always amazed at the number of people who fear spiders. To me, city traffic is much more fearsome. It's a good thing there are those of us who don't fear spiders. Imagine trying to get a home inspected if everyone had this irrational fear.
David----so true that there are so many things that are "actually" scarier than spiders----unfortunately we don't have a whole lot of control over what we are scared of it seems. Sometimes we just need to ignore our fears.
That's the famed and seldom seen Cotton Candy spider. Usually found at carnivals, it is rarely seen anywhere but under the cotton candy machine. This photo was obviously taken from underneath, as this spider was venturing out among the supports for a bit o' cotton candy for dinner.
How long did you have to wait for him to come out?
Jay, the spider came right out to sit down besider.
Whey cool!
Very kindly,
Croakster
Croakster----looks like you should lay off the sugar for awhile.
Nice photo Charles,
I don't know what causes that but we have a lot of them in New England, and to think spiders is one of the things I am afraid of.
Kevin
Kevin, just nature's way of starting the recyling process.
