I "got religion" in the kitchen this morning!

For those of you that have been hanging around my blog from the beginning of time, hopefully, have no clue when I am kidding and when I am not----and therefore you know that for me, doing the dishes is a "Religious Experience."  This morning while I was in church I broke a plate in the sink.  This reminded me of one of the few "Helpful Heloise" type hints that I know of.  What to do when you have a kitchen sink full of water covered with soap suds and you have something broken and sharp waiting to bite you in the deep.

soap in the sink

Well you take a clear glass bottom bowl (like the one pictured to the left of the sink) and you float it in the water and then push it down into the water----don't let it fill up with water though.  Then---you can pretty clearly see the bottom of the sink and find the broken pieces to remove them safely.

Can you see the broken plate?  Along with all the silverware?  Pretty cool if you are a wimp like me and don't like cutting yourself.
