Thinking like a six-year-old

I find that homeowners often have dangerous things around their homes that they are unaware of.

This post is done in the spirit of keeping homeowners vigilant as to serious safety issues--and in particular combustible gas issues.

If you have gas or propane at your home, you may have a gas outlet for your gas grille at the exterior of your home.  If the gas line from the grille is hooked up to the outlet it is generally not a problem.  However if it is present and not being used it must be properly capped to prevent inadvertent opening of the valve.

If you were a six-year-old wouldn’t you want to know what you could do with that pretty red handle?

Make sure your gas outlets, if not being used, wherever they are in or around your home are properly capped.
